Job Description

We are searching for a composed and astute Project Manager to help coordinate and oversee multiple renewable energy installation projects for our customers and clients. The role will be engaging and varied and will require a ‘role your sleeves up’ attitude.

Reporting directly to our Operations Manager and working alongside our other PM’s, we are looking for someone who works well in a team environment, but also who is driven to achieve and develop on a personal level.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Conducting site visits on both commercial premises and domestic properties (as and when required).
  • Identifying relevant products to clients that meet their specific needs.
  • Work with the Design & Technical team to ensure delivery of a viable project.
  • Liaise with the Buyer on pricing, quotations and allocation of suppliers.
  • Presenting to clients our recommendations and answering any technical questions they may have.
  • Maintain our sites to our health and safety standards ensuring we are providing a safe working environment.
  • Identify and document site specific risks that could cause problems for an installation.
  • Liaise with suppliers with regards to kit orders and deliveries
  • Coordinate installations utilising the resources of Project coordinator, in house electricians and supply chain.
  • Plan installations with regards to access, lift plans and waste removal
  • Ensure site rules and installation methods are followed.
  • Provide regular reports, audits and feedback to management on site work, business activity and forecasting.
  • Be innovative and solution driven.
  • Support with our annual Audits with NICEIC, MCS and ISOs
  • Attend training and any other events to increase awareness and job knowledge.
  • Keep the company’s Client Relation Management system up to date by submitting detailed regular reports, including a weekly update on pipeline.
  • Work with Approved Suppliers & Contractors

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager.
  • Ability to identify and capitalise on other’s strengths.
  • Strong customer relationship skills (both domestic and commercial).
  • Previous experience within construction – experience within renewables and/or electrical installation industry is highly desirable.
  • Forethought, with the ability to identify and minimise risks.
  • Familiarity with tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance.
  • Must live within an hour’s commute of Cranbrook, Kent.
  • Driving Licence required

Desirable Skills

  • Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, etc. – QBE will be considered).

You will be based from our offices in Colliers Green, Kent, working in a team of enthusiastic people passionate about positively impacting our planet! There will be a requirement to travel to suppliers and sites, usually within the Southeast of England but could be required within the UK.
