Solar Industry Let Down By Disreputable Traders

This week has seen further evidence of mis-selling by disreputable companies, as reported by the BBC. It’s sad to see solar customers (and the industry that we feel so passionate about) again let down by a minority of unscrupulous traders. The Solar Trade Association (STA) have reacted to the story: ‘Two defunct companies, PV Solar UK and MyPlanet, are accused of mis-selling loans from Barclays bank to fund domestic solar PV systems. Neither were members of the STA at any point in time.’

Their response continues… ‘A 2018 Which? survey found that 93% of solar PV system owners were satisfied with it. Solar power is the UK’s most popular energy generation technology, consistently scoring over 80% in BEIS public attitude tracker polls. 6/10 households want solar and battery storage for their homes at some point in the future.’
