TLGEC Renewable Energy: Solar PV, Battery Storage & EV Charging in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London & Surrounding Areas

MCS Warning, Marathon Man, Electricity Prices Increase News & Featured Installation!

MCS Warning

Have you been approached by Solar PV Companies claiming to have ‘partnered’ with MCS?

The MCS (The Microgeneration Certification Scheme) has been made aware of the fact that several firms are claiming to have partnered with them offering Solar PV/Thermal upgrades and maintenance.

This is untrue and you should check with MCS if you have been offered any of the following:

  • Maintenance
  • Upgrades
  • Safety checks
  • Inverter checks
  • Buy back solar solutions

As do the MCS, we at TLGEC take consumer protection seriously and whether a company is certified by MCS or not, to claim they are in partnership with the MCS is misleading.

Ross is Running Marathon

Yes, that’s right…in his own words, “I despise running” but, Ross is now running the London marathon for charity on 22 April 2018.

Ross believes that pushing himself to do this type of activity which he hates is a challenge worth doing especially as he will be raising money for his chosen charity while pushing through the pain and frustration.

He has recently started running the Park Run in Maidstone which is 3 miles long which he extends to 8-10 miles each week – this has been a challenge in itself but he is now fully committed and is going for it but needs your help too.

As the nation’s leading first aid charity, St John Ambulance believes that first aid skills should be available to everyone and that no-one should die due to lack of available first aid.

First aid is the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

“I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations” Ross.

Electricity Price Rise

With the recent news that British Gas will raise electricity prices by 12.5% from September, there has never been a better time to invest in Solar PV and Battery Storage.

This British Gas electricity price increase could add more than £1000 to the energy bills of 3.1 million customers across the UK.

If you’re with British Gas, you may want to consider switching energy providers.

However, other companies may start to follow suit.

One option to consider, for reducing your energy bills long term, is to invest in creating your own electricity, which means you’ll be less affected when energy suppliers raising their prices for whatever reason.

A Battery Storage and Solar PV system could be the perfect combination to reduce your energy bills long term.

Our Featured Installation

We recently installed this 32 panel Solar PV system for Mr D in Rusper, West Sussex. This was an off grid project undertaken to let the property less dependant on its diesel generator. The house itself was not connected to the grid. The 8.8kWp PV system was split into 2 arrays facing South East and South Wes

The house itself was not connected to the grid. The 8.8kWp PV system was split into 2 arrays facing South East and South West.

These are being controlled via a Sunny Island control unit which determines the PV output which helps to protect the batteries. The storage was made up of 24 x 1000Ah Hoppecke Sun batteries, enough to keep the house running for days between charges.
