Solar PV: Rusper, West Sussex: Mr D
We recently installed this 32 panel Solar PV system for Mr D in Rusper, West Sussex. This was an off grid project undertaken to let the property be less dependant on its diesel generator. The house itself was not connected to the grid. The 8.8kWp PV system was split into 2 arrays facing South East and South West. These are being controlled via a Sunny Island control unit which determines the PV output which helps to protect the batteries. The storage was made up of 24 x 1000Ah Hoppecke Sun batteries, enough to keep the house running for days between charges.
