The Merit Group cover a wide pantheon of installation services including office fit outs, insulation supplies, glazing solutions, data & IT solutions and much more. They asked us to provide a commercial solar PV design to help reduce their energy costs and help work towards net zero carbon targets for both Merit, their clients and supply chain. The site was subject to export limitation, and we achieved this with the addition of Fronius energy meters. This does not stop Merit using all the generated power themselves, just what returns to the grid.

The site has a fleet of electric vehicles which they are hoping to expand over the coming years and have asked us to include in the design an uplift in generation to help cover these future loads and so future proof the design.
