Campaign for Fair Solar Payments

The government is due to end the Feed-in-Tariff scheme at the end of this month (if you are already in the scheme you will still receive your payments).

Unless you have battery storage installed your solar power system will inevitably supply excess energy that flows back into the grid. The FIT provided a guaranteed payment for this energy, so what is to follow?

Currently the government is going to leave it up to energy companies to decide how much to pay solar homeowners for this energy and anything over zero will be acceptable!

Though installation prices have fallen, surely homeowners shouldn’t be expected to supply energy companies with electricity without fair payment.

If you think this is unfair and short-sighted there is something you can do > add your name to 10:10’s demand for fair treatment for solar power.
