TLGEC Renewable Energy: Solar PV, Battery Storage & EV Charging in Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London & Surrounding Areas

The first battery storage solution of its kind in the UK has been successfully commissioned in a joint project by The Little Green Energy Company and INTILION AG.

Kent-based The Little Green Energy Company (TLGEC) partnered with German company INTILION to design a bespoke solution using their scalestac battery to optimise energy usage for an industrial pump supplier in Essex.

The INTILION scalestac, a scalable solution which adapts to energy demands, was installed as part of a dual solar system at W Robinson & Sons. The energy from their two solar panel systems – a 100kWp system installed in 2016, and a 207kWp system installed in 2023 – can now be harnessed more efficiently.

TLGEC specified the scalestac 150kVA/616kWh battery storage unit because of its high quality configuration, scalability and its 10 year warranty.

The complete solar PV and commercial battery storage system will help the customer make significant savings on their energy bills by storing and using an estimated 54,000 KWh annually, with an overall system consumption of 77.6%. Both solar systems combined will provide more than 51% of the overall site demand.

TLGEC partners with INTILION to deliver battery storage solutions in the UK

James Deane, Managing Director of The Little Green Energy Company, said: “I am thrilled to have completed our first joint project with INTILION. This collaboration is a significant step towards our shared goals of helping businesses to generate and store their own renewable energy.

“Combining their innovative technology and our expertise as system designers and installers, we look forward to continuing to work together and making a meaningful impact towards a more sustainable future.”

Frederik Süllwald, Head of Global Sales & KAM at INTILION, said: “We are very pleased to have successfully implemented the first joint project with The Little Green Company using our commercial energy storage solution scalestac. We have found a strong partner in the UK with this company, and we are already looking forward to the next joint projects.”

TLGEC will continue to work with INTILION to explore further opportunities for specifying the scalestac for commercial systems in the UK.
